Pinus sylvestris - Scots Pine

Native to northern and western Europe, with dark/mid green needles formed in pairs, several species are available with differing needle lengths and tones.  Easily trained, with good flexibility being with plenty of sound examples being found throughout the UK.

General Care

Full sun with some protection from wind and frost for smaller trees.  Avoid long periods of wet soil, water only when the soil has dried out a little.

Feed every four weeks during growing season.

Use a free draining soil and repot upon inspection, as older trees tend to slow down root production so could be even over 5 years.
