Zelkova Serata -
Japanese Elm

Native to Japan China and the Caucasus, very strong growing tree that buds back prolifically , mid to light green leaves that have a delicate serrated structure, strong but fine roots systems , Many cultivars exist including variegated, red and gold tones to the foliage.

General Care

Full sun to partial shade with some winter protection to prevent twig dieback, do not allow soil to dry out between watering, they require continuous tip pruning and removal of any large leaves, very resistant to Dutch elm disease.
